St Mary's response to Covid-19
Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), and in line with the latest government advice, the Church of England have indicated that there should be no public worship until further notice, including Sundays and midweek gatherings. That means St Mary’s will not be meeting for our Sunday services, prayer meetings, Bible studies, etc, for the foreseeable future.
This is a great regret but does not mean St Mary’s is clocking off.
Please continue to check this website for updates detailing what we are doing and how we are seeking to reach out to our church family and wider community in this difficult time. At this point, we are making plans to do the following:
Video our Sunday services (which will inevitably be a little different to usual) and upload the videos to this website in time for 10.30am each Sunday morning. It is likely we will also make this available on a video sharing platform (most likely YouTube). We will also aim to provide a printed copy of our services (through letterboxes) to each member of St Mary’s who doesn’t have internet or isn’t able to download it. Please let us know if you want to be added to our list.
We are still working on a plan to have virtual Bible studies and will explain asap to those who wish to participate how we will do this.
We really want to support our church family and wider community as well as we can through this time. To this end, we are organising support structures. Do let us know if you would like us to reach out to you
Finally please be assured that we are praying for our community. If there are particular prayer requests you have, please do email or phone the church office (details under Contact Us).
Please look at the links on the right hand side, and below, where we will include more resources.
