St Mary's response to Covid-19
As we enter a new lockdown at the start of 2021, we want to do everything we can to ensure that we keep everyone safe and follow all government guidance as well as helping to support our church family and the community with the spiritual, emotional and practical needs.
We are encouraging all those who are able to to take part in our services and midweek groups online. You can find more details about these below. We are running a short service at 10:30am in the church building. But this is really aimed at those without online access. We are following all government guidance. Please do not attend church if you or a member of your household/bubble has any covid symptoms or has been asked to self-isolate.
For more information about how we are keeping our place of worship and meeting together safe please check out the links to our Risk Assessment and Question & Answer document.
During the lockdown, we will be doing the following:
Video our Sunday services (which will inevitably be a little different to usual) and upload the videos to our YouTube channel. We will also aim to provide a printed copy of our services (through letterboxes) to each member of St Mary’s who doesn’t have internet or isn’t able to attend on a Sunday, please contact the church office if you would like to receive this. You can also find old services on our YouTube channel.
Zoom tea and coffee: 11:30-12:30 each Sunday after the online service.
Sunday Club is currently still meeting on Zoom. Contact the church office for more information.
Our Bible Study groups and Church Prayer meeting are continuing to meet via Zoom. Contact us if you would like more details.
We really want to support our church family and wider community as well as we can through this time. To this end, we are organising support structures. Do let us know if you would like us to reach out to you
Finally please be assured that we are praying for our community. If there are particular prayer requests you have, please do email or phone the church office (details under Contact Us).
Please look at the links on the right hand side, and below, where we will include more resources.
